Cathie Brugnoli - Cathie stumbled upon Girls on the Run over 6 years ago through Girls on the Run of Atlanta. After coaching a few seasons Cathie realized the impact this program was having on her daughters and her family. Through much community support Cathie took the necessary steps to bring this program to Forsyth and Hall Counties. It is her passion to bring this program to every girl possible. Girls on the Run recently expanded to Cherokee County, GA.
Girls on the Run Forsyth-Hall- Cherokee has a great group of people, contributing their time as our Board of Directors.
Meet our Board of Directors:
Andrew Brugnoli - Being a Dad of GOTR girls I see firsthand the spectacular insight, guidance and wisdom this program gives to them. My daughters have been participants multiple times and the messages are alive and relevant in today's world. It is my pleasure to be involved with GOTR - not just for my daughters, but for all the girls we can reach with this fabulous program.
Andrew is an active participant in his community, a public speaker on Retirement Planning, and President and Founder of SAFE MONEY FINANCIAL . A former finance and economic graduate from Baruch College in New York, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and traveling the world.
Cathy Carnahan -
Beth Chamberlain - Beth graduated from Northwestern State University in 1992 with a degree in sociology, a minor in political science, and an emphasis in criminal justice. Beth currently works at the Forsyth County Courthouse in the Solicitors General's office as a Victim Advocate.
In 1994 Beth relocated to Forsyth County from Louisiana, when she was offered a teaching/coaching position at South Forsyth High School. Beth coached GOTR for two years, and is an active member of her local church. Beth attends the GOTR races as a cheerleader and a runner because of the great impact seen on the girls faces when they cross the finish line. Beth also volunteers at LMMS as the Local School Council President and was selected for Leadership Forsyth's class of 2011.
Beth and her family enjoy boating on Lake Lanier, traveling, and camping. Beth is a mom of two children. She also runs in several races each year. Recently Beth was diagnosed with an eye disease called Stargardt. Beth quickly became and advocate for Foundation Fighting Blindness to increase awareness of all eye conditions.
